Performing Arts

The Center for Artful Expression opened in 2004 and is now the home of the school’s instrumental music, vocal music and visual art programs.  The instrumental room is 2,600 square feet, with three practice rooms to accommodate the students of the two concert bands and jazz band.

The Sweet Sounds of Music

Music plays a big part in the daily life of Bishop Ludden students.  Along with choir and  band, we offer students the opportunity to take several academic music classes, including General Music, Music in our Lives, Music History, and Perspectives in Music Theory.

The annual spring musical is a much-anticipated event in the community, with attendance typically topping 700 over several performances.

The spring musical has entertained the local community with renditions of:

Oklahoma

Babes in Arms

Bye Bye Birdie

Cinderella

Guys and Dolls

Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat

Fiddler on the Roof

Hello Dolly

Music Man

Godspell

The Wizard Of Oz

Modern Music Masters, Tri-M, Music Honor Society was developed to motivate students, recognize their efforts, and honor their accomplishments. It is the purpose of the individual chapters to provide the opportunity to strengthen school music programs, help students reach their full musical potential, encourage instrumental and vocal students to work together toward common goals, and to focus attention on school music programs throughout communities.

Students are selected based on five points of distinction: scholarship, character, cooperation, leadership, and service, as well as musicianship.
