| A letter to parents from the new principal... |
“Let the children come to me, and do not stop them, for the Kingdom of God belongs to such as these.” |
| Dear Parents, |
I would like to introduce myself. My name is Curt Czarniak. I am the new principal at Bishop Ludden Junior-Senior High School. I would like to invite you to attend one of two “Meet the Principal Nights” on Wednesday July 16, or Tuesday July 29, from 6:00 to 7:30 PM in the high school library. At these events I will share more about myself, outline plans for the future of Bishop Ludden, and answer any questions you may have. |
| As a teacher and quiet observer at Bishop Ludden this year I have had the opportunity to see and hear much. I have seen incredible strength and dedication. I have also seen and heard the frustration of those who truly believe in the mission of Bishop Ludden High School, but who also believe the school can be much more than it is currently. They believe, as do I, that Bishop Ludden is a good school. But “good” or even “very good” is simply not acceptable to me and many others. To accomplish both our spiritual and academic missions we must be outstanding, extraordinary, unique, and exemplary. |
I have served young adults as a teacher, coach, religious education instructor, principal, (and dad). In all of these roles I set very high expectations for myself, and for the students, players, teachers, and support staff that I work with. In all of these roles I have successfully brought together the knowledge, energy, enthusiasm, and skill needed to help young adults achieve at high levels. I am a passionate person. I am passionate about my faith. I am passionate about working with young adults to help them reach their full potential. And I am passionate about working with staff, students, alumni, and parents to develop and realize a vision of what a high school can be as an institution of Catholic Education. |
| The Bishop Ludden High School you knew this year will not be the same Bishop Ludden High School that your child will walk into in two months. The strategic planning is already underway to build on our traditions and reshape our future. To learn more about our plans for the future (and to actively participate) please plan on attending one of the two “Meet the Principal Nights” listed above. Both evening’s programs will begin promptly at 6:00 p.m. and end at 7:30 p.m. |
| In addition to these evenings, I would also like to make you aware of another parent meeting that will take place on Tuesday July 22, at 6:30 p.m. in the high school library. The meeting is for those parents willing to make a commitment to become more involved in the strategic planning process. If you would like to be a part of this group please e-mail me at cczarniak@syrdiocese.org |
| I look forwarding to meeting you and working with your student(s) over the years. Thank you for all you do for the children of Bishop Ludden High School, and may God Bless. |
