Summer Camps 2018

Come and learn how to build and program LEGO Robots

  • Build a LEGO robot using sensors
  • Program your robot to navigate a maze
  • Compete against fellow teams to see who can complete the various competitions  with the most amount of points
  • Please bring a bagged lunch since we will have a break for lunch
  • A small snack and drink will be provided to each child
  • Prizes are awarded in each competition
 

When:   Monday- Thursday June 25-28 , 2018

Time:  8:00 a.m. -2 :00 p.m.

Where: Bishop Ludden Jr. Sr. High School

Who:  For any student in grades 4-8.

Fee:  $100 (limited spaces available so please reserve ASAP).  

Tee Shirt:   $10   additional fee

SCHOLARSHIP DETAILS: 

Scholarship open to all students in a Diocesan Elementary School. There will be one scholarship awarded to each of the elementary schools.

Students who wish to compete must write either  a 500-1000 word Fantasy/SciFi short story which relates to robotics and/or the future of Artificial Intelligence or  create a graphic  novel with at least  10 pages and a story on the above topic(s)  with a minimum of 10 drawings with appropriate text.  

Submissions will be accepted through June 1, 2018 and winners will be announced on or before June 8, 2018   Mail entries to Maxine Babcock, Bishop Ludden Junior Senior High School, 815 Fay Road, Syracuse , NY 13219 or submit via shared Google Document to mbabcock@syrdiocese.org. Entries must be postmarked/or received by June 1, 2018.   Students must include complete name, school, age, and grade on the document.
