Religious Studies
Each year, students must successfully complete a Religious Studies course, a class service project, individual service hours and the required class retreat. Retreats are a day spent off-campus at various retreat centers in the Syracuse Area. Each retreat has a theme that is developed through activities at each retreat.
A student who has not successfully completed any religion course must attend a summer session for that course.
The theme for the course for each grade level is as follows:
7th Grade | The seven Sacraments |
8th Grade | Breaks down the Ten Commandments and students evaluate their consciences |
9th Grade | The books of the Old Testament |
10th Grade | The books of the New Testament |
11th Grade | The concept of Social Justice |
12th Grade | Christian Philosophy and World Religions |
