Course Description

This course is the study of natural and human-induced weather disasters such as hurricanes, tornadoes, floods, blizzards, thunderstorms, and the role played by climate change and how they impact society and the environment. It will also study the impact of these disasters on public policy and how the public can prevent or protect communities by creating emergency preparedness plans for each disaster. Prerequisite: Successful completion of Earth Science.
