Religious Studies 10
The foundational goal of Jesus of History, Christ of Faith will be to assist tenth grade students in considering the New Testament as a whole to examine the Jewish historical, religious and cultural world into which Jesus was born. The gospels will be the primary source in exploring Jesus’ birth, his ministry, Passion and Resurrection, the Ascension, and Pentecost, and their central significance for the church’s understanding of Jesus as the Christ, the Son of God. The course also looks at the early post-resurrection church in the Acts of Apostles, to include, Paul. Class retreat and 24 service hours are required.
